Mike Hickey was named President of Pitney Bowes MapInfo in May 2007 and then President of Pitney Bowes Software on September 6, 2007. Mike brings 25 years technology and 13 years’ software industry experience in the software industry to the role. Pitney Bowes Software combines Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software and Pitney Bowes MapInfo into a single software company. |

Prior to his appointment, Mike was Pitney Bowes MapInfo’s chief operating officer from 2002-2007. He spearheaded the creation of the location intelligence category and as President will ensure that Pitney Bowes Software continues to create innovative solutions for the location intelligence market.
Mike held a number of executive management positions at Pitney Bowes MapInfo, serving in the roles of Executive Vice President, sales and marketing, Group Vice President of operations, and Vice President and General Manager of MapInfo’s Information Business.
As Vice President and General Manager, he grew MapInfo’s Information Business by 175 percent over a 2-year period. He also spearheaded MapInfo’s drive into Predictive Analytics through the development and acquisition of new core competencies. In addition, he led MapInfo’s Operational Excellence initiative, introducing business management disciplines and driving continuous improvement through its operations. |
