Louella Fernandes, Principal Analyst working with Quocirca

Louella Fernandes is a Principal Analyst working with Quocirca, with a remit covering enterprise printing, business intelligence and geo-locational tools.

Most recently Louella was European Developer Relations Programme Manager at Canon Europe focusing primarily on expanding the availability of print and document solutions for Canon's range of digital copiers through ISV partners. During her time at Canon Europe, Louella worked with major strategic partners including IBM, Microsoft, Apple and Nokia on projects to extend the visibility of Canon's printer products in new client and mobile operating systems releases. This led to Louella spearheading the creation of the European developer programme web sites for printers and digital cameras. Louella was also responsible for presenting market analysis to technical sales and marketing teams across Europe, as well as to Canon product groups in Japan.

During her working life, Louella has followed the evolution of the Business Intelligence market from basic reporting, through high-end systems to today's dynamics with vendors vying to bring products to the market for mainstream utilisation. Previous work has involved Louella in the use of geo-locational business intelligence tools, analysing data for the best placement of retail outlets in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, and to use these tools to trend profitability in these stores. Her belief that BI is for the masses drives a desire to ensure that tools are fit for purpose; that BI tools are easy to use, are available as services to the enterprise and that they are cost effective.

Louella has a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science from Aston University.
